Letter Hh

H is for hot dogs, heart candies, honeymaid crackers, and hot chocolate! Can we say DELISH!!! :)
Hats off to the letter "H"! We had a blast learning with fun activities! We had a "hat day" and wore our favorite hats! We even made our own hats by folding large paper with the help of Miss Kristin! Some other fun activities were counting Hearts in math, reading about hippos and making Hippo puppets. We also enjoyed learning the importance of houses and making our own using shapes. Hands start with letter "H" too, and we learned how important our hands are and all of their many uses before making our hand prints with paint for our ABC books!

Letter Xx

We had a blast learning all about the letter "x". We had great books in our literature library that taught us many new things. We love to read and learn! Some of the fun things we learned about and experienced were: Looking at real X-rays and learning how they can be helpful for doctors and dentists. We colored an X-ray for our ABC books too! One of the highlights was learning that XOXO means hugs and kisses! In our little Cookin' Caterpillars class we cut out, baked, and decorated XOXO cookies! In music we talked about percussion instruments, focusing on the x-xylophone. We got a chance to play one and even made our own using glasses that were filled with different levels of water! It was awesome to hear the music we made! One of the most wild but fun activities was discovering how much fun boXes can be! We made tunnels, houses, rocket ships, cars, and anything else you could think up! For being such a crazy letter we sure loved it anyway!!
